Author Gillian King-Cargile shared her writing process with 4th graders from Sheridan School today. She talked about her writing recipe and the students were able to create their own stories while experiencing STEM activities throughout the day to enhance their story ideas. This was a high energy day filled with great experiences.

Knowing that we would be doing a similar event in Bloomington next month, I had the opportunity to help out with this event to better plan for ours. 800 5th through 9th graders were actively involved in the design challenges based on the I Survived series. Beyond engineering design challenges
In 2009 I was given the chance to move into the best job in the world- Library Media Specialist! I work with students and teachers, coaching both in technology and sharing my passion for literature.
