I love this winter bulletin board! With wrapping paper as a background, I added a snowman, book and snowflake (enlarged page from a book). The inspiration came from this holiday card!
This November I took inspiration from a door decoration to remind my students to bring library books back on time.
Branch Out and Read Something New is my back to school board this year. I'm hoping it inspires my students to try something outside their "typical" selections. I am pairing the board with a library center for browsing read alikes. This idea came from Pinterest. I tweaked it with digital illustrations my kinders made using Kid Pix and Mo Willems' guide to drawing the pigeon. It is a BIG hit among students and teachers.
This was our hallway Read Across America bulletin board for 2015. I loved the saying: Reading is the THING to do and the idea of using Thing 1 and Thing 2, but my favorite part is the hair! These are blue boas from JoAnn Fabrics. Otherwise, it is just circles and stripes cut from bulletin board paper.
Who's ready to read? This bulletin board idea came from a gift bag! I folded glitter tissue paper from Dollar Tree to make trees. It is a nice alternative to the red and green usually found during the holiday season.
Idea based on the door at http://kickinitwithclass.blogspot.com/2013/09/classroom-doors-be-all-you-can-picture.html.
