Author Gillian King-Cargile shared her writing process with 4th graders from Sheridan School today. She talked about her writing recipe and the students were able to create their own stories while experiencing STEM activities throughout the day to enhance their story ideas. This was a high energy day filled with great experiences.

Activity Recommendation:
Share the president´s oath to your class. Have students use a dictionary to "translate" the oath into kid language and create a seal that represents the oath. Show the presidential seal, explaining that it is a symbol of the president´s promise and responsibility. Have students compare the official seal to the one they created.
